awesome night

Tonight i went to a third day concert with kate leesh and leanne not knowing what to expect because i had never been to or heard of the three bands that were playing, but it was such and awesome time. Day of fire an American band went on first and they went off with their very loud rock style, then Rookie came on and played a very cool show these guys were the only aussie band and they were great. OH and then some band called third day came on and for some reason everyone in the crowd went crazy, but i soon found out why they did. These guys from america were just awesome getting everyone in the crowd up dancing and clapping their hands it was very cool.

Probably the biggest shock for me was i never really knew that their were bands out in the world playing that kind of music that i love and being able to worship an awesome God at the same time. the 3 bands were all good at talking about what God has done in their lives to write the songs but probably the best band was third day the lead singer was such an awesome speaker i was really surprised.

I also bought some merch which i heard was cool so i got a cool shirt saying on the front" I WANNA BE A ROCKSTAR, then on the back it says BUT I AIN'T GOT WHAT IT TAKES" which looks very cool and i got 2 stickers to go onto princesses hard case a Rookie and Day of fire sticker.

It was the best night, i had an awesome time listening to 3 very cool bands and being able to worship an awesome God at the same time.

what a weekend

This was my first KYC and i didn't really know what to expect will happen during the weekend, so i was excited and curious at the same time going up to Katoomba with B. KYC is something new that i had never experienced before and it was something that i would love to continue going to, the weekend was on relationships and something that i'm not that good at. So it was good to hear what the speakers had to say and what God had said through the bible.

Some of the things that i learnt was that it was what i called a 'service' it is some thing that i had heard before but it was just a tune up, a refreshment of how awesome God is and what he feels about releationships with him and other people and how we should treat people in those relationships. Probably the biggest thing for me was the way i don't really talk to people older, and just people in general alot and seeing that i'm starting my Tafe course soon on massage therapy there will come times where i have to talk to the person and start conversations with these people so it something that i might need to work on before i start working in that profession.

It was such a great weekend that i enjoyed alot and learnt alot that i can use in my daily life now to help please God.

Last night was very hard having not much sleep over the weekend and having to do the singing out the front was very hard from not falling asleep but when pastor roger started talking about things that can make distractions in our love for God i started to listen as much as i could it was another wake up call that everything we have in this world is nothing to the love that God has for everyone and that should be the main thing in our lives, football and playing the guitar and tv they are all good but when it comes to that day they will mean nothing when i have to stand before him.

Birthday shoppin

On sunday was my 19th birthday that means im 1 year away from not being a stinkin teenager, it was a good weekend on saturday i had a little get together with some friends from school and church and had a bbq and went for a swim it was nice. Then we went back to robs house to watch the greatest movie ever School of Rock and had pizza which was lots of fun.

Then on sunday i had the family lunch thing that we do every year so that was cool, and i had to cut that short because me and my brother and his friend josh had to go suit shoppin for my brothers weddin which is in march. we all look very slammin in our suits. The fun part is the bride doesn't know what we are wearin she thinks we have suits in the colours of the wiggles little josh's favourite group; im murray because i try to play the guitar, little josh is jeff because he sleeps alot and is the smallest, my brother is Greg because me is the main man and big josh is anthony we will all look very cool.

for the last two days i have been going bargain huntin all through the shoppin centres tryin to find s0me good deals on what to buy with the many gift vouchers and money i received for my birthday. So far i have:

• 1 Incubus live dvd
• 1 Quicksilver shirt
• 1 Billabong jeans
• 1 Eurotrip dvd

That is all hopefully they will keep me excited for a while.

Its been a long time since i wrote something so this something that i have really noticed recently, for chirstmas B gave me 2 books from the Jesus Freaks collection, the whole books are filled with real life stories about how Christians have put their lives on the line at any cost so more and more people will come to know God. After reading the first book at the end it had just come of the countries that are affected where chirstians are killed, tortured, or put in prison for their beliefs.

At first i was angry about what people are doing, killing people just because others believe in something more powerful and would risk anything for it, but after reading all the different stories it encouraged me so much. I live in a country that is awesome, we have the opportunities to spread God's word without the fear of getting shot, or being put in jail. It has also encouraged me that i shouldn't just sit back and watch things happen i have alot of non christian friends from football and other things that know im a christian but i have never had the guts to actually talk to them about and get their thoughts on what they think about God. So after reading all these stories i feel its my job to talk to them about it. I know it won't easy but nothing ever is but if God wants it to happen then it will.

I've always had the feeling of travelling around the world sometime in my life and seeing what wonderful things God has created in other parts of the world, at first i just wanted to go on a holiday and see the sites but now i feel i want to go to some of these countires that i read about in the books and go see things first hand and see what really is happening to these people. I never like to see anyone put threw pain if i can help in anyway then i will, but just reading about what some people went through i want to go help.

Who ever reads this i ask that you pray for the christians in the countries that are risking their lives everyday so more people come to know God i pray that they will be given strength, and the will to not think twice about what they are doing. I also ask that you pray for the people who are commiting these acts on the chirstians i ask forgiveness.
