Easter show madness

Today was such a fun day hanging out with leesh, leanne, steve and dave at the easter show. We arrived at the show around 10ish and walked around, the first main attraction was the animals leesh's favourite part of the day we got up close and personal to some very large and very small pigs that had some very strange smells. Then we moved onto the cows/bulls and enjoyed the smell of crap that was on the floor and all over the place. After the smell of crap was gone we moved onto looking at the rides and other attractions that were at the show, then Dave showed up after dropping his wife rachael at the airport and we moved onto the woolworths pavilion to get free food. We got free cashew nuts covered in caramel(very nice) and nudie juice, and me and dave got some ygohurt and cheese.

By the end of that everyone was slowly getting tired of walking around and getting disappointed that there was no sports pavilion(whats the use of having a show if there is no sports pavilion) so we went to get the show bags out of the way so we could go and sit down in the main arena and wait for the main show. It was very crowded as usual and i saw a guy that i played football with and we talked for a little bit, i was leesh's carry man seeing the muscles i got i was happy to carry them jokes; i wasn't going to buy anything but i had money to spend so i got the inside sports show bag which had some nice stuff in it except those disgusting coffee candy, i was more disappointed that i couldn't get anything for my nephew josh he is a crazy wiggles fan and they had a show bag but everywhere i went they were sold out and i was so bumbed after that because i know he would love it alot.

The main show was pretty good as you get older you don't really care what happens but it was cool seeing the stormraiders go round and the yamaha dirt bike guys doing some fully sick moves in the air, and of course it wouldn't be a show without fireworks at the end.

The greatest disappointment was that leesh wouldn't go on the slingshot ride with me, it was that ride that the boys from the footy show went on where you lay back and they strap you and launch you up into the air spining around. I asked her numerous times but she declined, how are you ever gonna face your fears if you don't hit them head on it would have been such an adrenalin rush but it didn't happen.

The day was alot of fun and its time for me to go to sleep, this is another end to sinkers stories good nite.

long time comin

Wow it has been a very long time since i did one of these so here is the run down of wat has been happenin. My brother got married and i was a groomsman which was fun and yes i had to dance with a girl that just reached my shoulders and she was wearing very big high heels but she was only 12 so that was ok, the night was a lot of fun especially the time where i got to do a air guitar solo in the middle of the dance floor to AC/DC 'shook me all night long' lots of fun and no i wasn't drunk at the time. The best part was seeing my little nephew josh in his suit he was a chick magnet everyone was after him, i think he gets it from me.

Tafe is going better then i expected, im am enjoying meeting my new friends and getting to know them better, and the academic side is good just last thursday i had my second A&P quiz on the muscles of the upper limb and i got 29/33 so i was very happy with that. Anatomy has always been an interest to me, i am just amazed by the way God created something so complex in a very short period it is just awesome. I have my first practical exam tomorrow where i have to give a massage to a female and get marked on it.

Football starts up in a couple of weeks i can't wait to get out there and play again its been almost 8 months since i played a full on game of football missing most of last year recovering from my shoulder reconstruction, but its gonna be good. Had a couple of trial games just to get some of the cobwebs out and get the feel of what it feels like to hit someone again, a good thing is i have found may aggression that i have been missing for a long time and it has really helped my game.

so that is about it that has happened since the last time a blogged not alot happens in the life of sinkers, and that is the end of another sinkers stories.

switchfoot

Well what a concert sorry to all the ppl who missed it but it was so cool seeing the guys in the flesh after listening to there cds for so long and missing the last time they came to OZ because of a stomach virus that i had the pleasure of dealing with.

The 2 bands before switchfoot were very cool especially the band before switchfoot called small mercies, they had some very cool songs and the guitarists did some very nice solos which is always good.

Then who we all came to see switchfoot walked on stage in very hot conditions, i started in the mosh pit so i could take some photos but as usual technology is not my friend and the camera died on me because the batteries died. But it was still a great show they played most of the songs from The Beautiful Letdown their latest album.

Funniest part i think was when Jon went to jump up on the bass drum of the drum kit and almost feel off only being stopped by the drummers head, that could have been very funny if he didn't stop.

It was such a great night i can't wait till they come back with their new album and playing some more awesome switchfoot songs.
